Lunch of Big Ideas panel all set to spark future-focused debate

One is an expert in identifying and developing opportunities in Asia.

Another comes from the complex world of business banking and finance.

The third is a leader in the university and tertiary education sector.

Together, they are the panel line-up set to spark debate about the future of Cairns at TropicNow's Lunch of Big Ideas on 14 July.

Nathan Harvey, Jodie Duignan-George and Jeff Schrale will discuss and debate a range of future-focused concepts aimed at growing the city over the next decade.

The Lunch of Big Ideas, presented by CCIQ and ANZ at Ochre Restaurant on Friday 14 July, will be MC'd by CCIQ's Amy Turnbull and TropicNow's Gavin King.

Nathan Harvey 

Based in Brisbane, Nathan is the former Chief Financial Officer and General Manager Emerging Business for the Flight Centre Travel Group, where he worked extensively on growth and expansion of the company in Asia.

He now leads his own firm Game Plan Asia, helping Australian businesses capitalise on the tremendous opportunities in the south-east Asian region.

Jodie Duignan-George

Jodie is Associate Vice-Chancellor at CQUniversity, leading the institution's growth in Cairns and Far North Queensland.

With more than 20 years experience in the tertiary education sector, Jodie is now responsible for the strategic direction of CQUni's Cairns campus, including community engagement, international strategy, campus operations and business development.

Jeff Schrale

Jeff is ANZ's Regional Executive in Far North Queensland, a position he has held since 2015 after extensive experience in the agribusiness sector.

He is responsible for running Regional Business Banking for North Queensland across Emerging Corporates, Property, Commercial and Agribusiness segments.
