Art and indigenous affairs writer
Jack is an artist and Aboriginal affairs advocate working across tropical north Queensland and the world.
Originally starting his career in the arts as a volunteer, including a stint as a co-director of the artist run initiative Cell Art Space, Jack has gone to stage exhibitions of his own work at Umi Arts, C.1907 Gallery & Art Space and the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair.
He is an alumni of the Wesfarmer's Arts Indigenous Leadership Program at the National Gallery of Australia and a recipient of a Starburst grant/mentoring opportunity funded by Youth Arts Queensland.
In 2011 he was awarded the Senator Jan McLucas Volunteer Recognition Award for his efforts and work with youth at risk and youth charities.
In 2014 Jack was elected to the board of Cape York Sustainable Futures Inc., an advocacy body for social, economic and environmental development.
