We are off and racing with the first food vendors confirmed for Meet Eat Repeat at this year's Cairns Amateurs Carnival.

TropicNow is happy to reveal The Chicken Shed, Sipping Duck, So Hangry, and Java Boy are all confirmed for our popular foodie event to be held at Cannon Park during Saturday's gala race day on September 2.

With about five weeks to go until the big day it is a sure bet these few won't be the last confirmed food vendors to saddle up to take part in the fourth instalment of Meet Eat Repeat.

We'll be announcing food vendors, musicians and other details here on TropicNow in the lead-up to the event.

We will be near the entrance to Cannon Park on the day, tempting racegoers with gourmet bites from up to 15 of the city's top restaurants, cafes and food vendors.

It will be open to all Amateurs attendees, with live entertainment and prime viewing of Fashions on the Field adding to the party atmosphere.
