Region's top builders show best in home, kitchen, bathroom and sustainable living trends

TNQ’s best and most well-known builders put the latest examples of modern, new home trends on show in this year's HIA Pioneer North Queensland Cairns Housing, Kitchen and Bathroom Awards.

Entries in this year’s awards showcased new products, materials, appliances and the best in workmanship, with HIA Cairns Branch Manager Russell Parnicott saying it was a good way for the region's builders to keep up-to-date with new trends and standards in an ever changing industry.

“The awards bring together the best TNQ has to offer,” he said.

“The awards are a demonstration of the local building industry’s commitment to their clients and home buyers throughout the region.”

Brendan Grant Master Builders picked up the major prize of Home of the Year and will now compete against builders from Townsville and Mackay in the North Queensland Regional Home of the Year in Townsville on 10 November.
