Tropic Weekender: Your insider guide to the best events this weekend
There will be nothing but blue skies and plenty of sunshine for the next couple days with a top temperature of 30C on Saturday and 27C on Sunday.
So, why not take advantage of the perfect weather and get out and about to enjoy one of the many events on in the Tropical North? There are sporting events to get the heart racing, to more relaxed days at the movies or enjoying a bite to eat with friends and family.
On Sunday, there's the JCU Open Day and a chance to help fundraise for local mum Claire Tucker, who is in hospital with serious injuries as a result of a fall after attending last weekend's Cairns Cup events.
