Local media executive promoted to big radio gig in Perth

Popular long-serving local media identity Gina Hogan has accepted a promotion and will jet off to Perth to run Southern Cross Austereo's radio network in the city.

Hogan, who has worked in Cairns media circles for more than a decade, will become general manager in Perth with responsibility for the operations of Mix94.5 and Hit 92.9.

She joined the company in 2009 after stints at Chanel Seven and Prime Radio.

SCA’s chief operating officer John Kelly congratulated Hogan on the new role.

“I am delighted that after her strong performance at our Cairns operation Gina is now going to take her exemplary management skills to run our metropolitan operations in Perth,” Kelly said.

Hogan will relocate to the West Australian capital ahead of the July 17 start date.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on new challenges in Perth, and I’m certainly looking forward to the move to WA. With family in the region, I am not a complete stranger to the West," she said.
