Tropic Weekender: Your insider guide to the best events this weekend

Good news: there is no rain in the forecast for Cairns this weekend, just partly cloudy skies and maximum temperatures of 27C.

There are a lot of events across TNQ this weekend to enjoy. The Amateurs at Cannon Park is a highlight on Saturday, with Jazz Under the Stars at the Botanical Gardens on Saturday night. And on Sunday, there are lots of events to take your dad to on Father's Day, including the Cairns Bon Dance Festival on the Esplanade, Carnival on Collins, and community markets in Cairns and Port Douglas.

Whatever you do, have a great tropical weekend!
