NRL big guns in Cairns for Brothers book signing

Parramatta coach Brad Arthur will reflect on where it all began this week.

Some of rugby league’s most influential names will be reflecting on the role a Cairns football club had on their own success this weekend.

Parramatta Eels head coach Brad Arthur and Rabbitohs general manager Shane Richardson will attend a book signing for Earning Our Stripes which tells the story of Cairns Brothers Rugby League Football Club.

Arthur and Richardson both coached the club with the former leading them to four premierships and six grand final appearances across eight years.

Arthur won the respect of the rugby league community this year, guiding the Eels through a turbulent season which saw the club sanctioned for major salary cap breaches.

Since joining the Rabbitohs, Richardson has helped bring NRL fixtures to Cairns and helmed the famous club during one its most successful periods.

Arthur and Richardson will also be guests of honour at the Cairns Brothers 90th Year Celebrations Reunion and Book Launch on Friday, January 13.

Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at www.brotherscairns.com.au.

Earning Our Stripes is available at Brothers World of Entertainment for $50.
