New big fish in town

Fishpoint is the latest venture from Villa Romana and Yaya’s Hellenic Kitchen & Bar. The CBD fish and chippery has fresh, local fish and chips at an affordable price.

Novotel Oasis Resort, 122 Lake St

Moku Bar and Grill is the umbrella name for three venues, which include a terrace bar, restaurant and tiki bar-style beach shack -  all dotted around the resort's gorgeous sandy lagoon.

Dundee’s with the fishes

Cairns Aquarium, 5 Florence St

All the delicious dishes Dundee’s serves up at its waterfront venue are now at Cairns Aquarium's spectacular giant fish tank setting. There's also a focus on fresh seafood for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

YOMG Cairns is back!

Abbott St

YOMG's mouth-watering fruit and sweet-topped frozen yoghurt and other ice-cold treats disappeared from Cairns about a year ago.

They're back in a new pop-up venue in the heart of the city.

Our favourite French restaurant is now open 7 days a week and has added breakfast to its dining options! Along with mouth-watering pastries (yes, the French do it best), give the creme brulee granola and fruit a try!

Servant Espresso is perhaps a secret southsiders have been keeping to themselves...

As well as awesome coffee, mum's catch-ups are made easy thanks to a kids’ playroom and the regular offer of free babychinos -  PLUS the owners encourage people to plug their laptops in and take full advantage of the Wifi. Not a bad workplace setting at all.

Bailey's triple treat

Crystalbrook Collection's second Cairns hotel - Bailey - has opened, delivering three new dining options in the process.

There's an Australian outback-themed bar and grill, while the old-school Milk Bar is sure to produce some nostalgia.

Option number three is called Pachamama, home to a Latin taste fiesta.
