Vanessa Robinson has an intricate knowledge of the blue chip suburbs north of Cairns, but it was her commitment to clients that sparked the interest of Belle Property.

The agent has been hired as its specialist in Freshwater, Stratford, Aeroglen and Cairns North.

For Ms Robinson, the feeling’s mutual, which is why she was attracted to the role in the first place.

“He plays the long game, nurturing and respecting relationships with buyers and sellers.” 

Ms Robinson comes from LJ Hooker Cairns, where she previously sold homes in the same suburbs, which are filled with character Queenslanders.

“Vanessa has forged an excellent reputation in the Freshwater, Stratford, Aeroglen and Cairns North area and brings a lot of experience with her,” Mr Slatyer said.

“Older Queenslander style homes are all very different – generally they all started out pretty basic and either remain original or have been extensively renovated or somewhere in between.

“Understanding the differences and marketing towards the correct demographic is the key.”

Ms Robinson said starting her career during the global financial crisis taught her how to work hard to achieve results, even in a tough market.

“Owner occupiers now outweigh investors when it comes to property enquiry,” she said.

“Whilst they’re notorious for being that bit more fussy and fickle I can understand where they’re coming from and with the right measure of patience I have still been achieving some great results for my sellers.”

However, she said she’s lucky to work in an area where homes are so sought after.

“Freshie and Stratford offer proximity to schools and the CBD, beauty, along with safety and lifestyle and I think they will always be in demand," she said.

“Cairns North and the inner city area is a great place to own a home if you’re a time poor professional, or a younger couple, who like a more eclectic home and all the benefits that city living offers.”
