Body discovered at Wallaby Creek believed to be that of missing woman

A week after 34 year-old Ebony King disappeared in floodwaters at Rossville, a body believed to be hers has been discovered at Wallaby Creek.

A member of the public found the remains yesterday afternoon, about four kilometres north-west of the River Road causeway, between Cape Tribulation and Cooktown.

Ms King was last seen wading into the swollen causeway at about 6pm on Thursday, 27th December.

Once the body is formally identified, police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

It's the second flood-related drowning in tropical north Queensland this week.

On Monday, the body of 28 year-old Normanton man Rowan Kahn was pulled from Chinaman Creek in Cairns.
