TYGA headlines The Grass is Greener 2019 music festival in Cairns and the Gold Coast

The Grass is Greener, Cairns’ homegrown music festival, has today dropped its largest ever line-up headlined by one of the world’s most talked about rappers of the moment, TYGA.

The event will this year be held on 26th October and is marking its fourth season with an expansion to the Gold Coast.

Playing alongside American rapper TYGA will be Amy Shark, Golden Features, the Veronicas and heaps more.

Festival co-founder Johnny Eddings said the festival has gained a cult-like following in the north - providing a sturdy footing from which to launch a second show on the Gold Coast, which will be held October 19th.

“It’s all about putting on great events in our own backyard - celebrating good times with friends and listening to the hottest music around under a warm, tropical sun,” he said.

The Grass is Greener Cairns will this year run over two days, with organisers bringing Newcastle-born festival Scene & Heard to Barlow Park on Sunday the 27th.

Its line-up was announced earlier this month, with Wolfmother headlining.

Pre-sale tickets for The Grass is Greener start at $89.
