Friday 28 May

Brother Jenkins is the place to be for Friday knock-offs this week, with two of Cairns' avid music collectors set to dust off their vinyl collections. 4pm start.

The German Club are hosting a Sausage Soiree, 5pm start. Enough said.

Following Melbourne’s COVID-19 cluster, Cairns Taipans get to host another two home games. The first is against S.E Melbourne Phoenix tonight, 7:30pm start.

Locally-raised but globally-experienced indie artist Tessa Devine is playing at Parkview Hotel in Gordonvale tonight. Free event, 8pm start.

Saturday 29 May

Mareeba Markets is back, featuring over 180 local stalls with locally grown produce, quality handmade products, food, drinks and much more. 7:30am to 12:30pm.

Ochre Restaurant is partnering with Barrier Reef Brewing Co to host a beer and canape pairing today. 3 to 5pm, $45pp. 

Know any keen swimmers? They can train under the guidance of Cairns Stingrays' own Jack Hendy & Marcus West as they raise money to head to Olympic Trials in June. Woree Sports & Aquatic Centre, $10 per swimmer, 10:30am start.

The Indigenous Events Committee is hosting a National Reconciliation Week Film Night at Port Douglas Yacht Club, aiming to showcase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, histories, and cultures. Free event, popcorn included!

CPAC is hosting the Banff Mountain Film Festival tonight, featuring three hours of captivating footage, shot in some of the most wild and remote corners of the world. 7pm start, tickets essential.

The Rubens are bringing their biggest tour to date to Cairns, 7:30pm start at the Tanks. Limited tickets available.  

Sunday 30 May

Palm Cove Markets are on, with more than 130 stalls along the beautiful palm-shaded esplanade. 8am to 2pm.  

Acoustic music by the beach, matched with $1 oysters? We’re there. Yorkeys Beach Boat Club are hosting a Sunday session with artist Waking Ugly, 3pm start.

Monday 31 May

Cairns Taipans take on Melbourne United tonight, 7.30pm start at the Pop-Up Arena.
