The 11th annual IRONMAN Cairns is just around the corner, with more than 3,500 athletes expected to compete across the weekend’s events.
Most of the action will be on Sunday, 12 June, but there are already some changed traffic conditions.
Barricades and construction of marquees and event structures has also commenced along the Cairns Esplanade and in the Pier carpark.
Importantly, the Captain Cook Highway between Cairns and Port Douglas will be impacted on Sunday.
