Tropic Group is joining other small independent news outlets in a 24 hour news freeze, #WaitingOnZuck.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has failed to pay for the independent journalism that he and his businesses have benefitted from for years.

The News Media Bargaining Code, introduced by the Australian Government in March last year, was supposed to address the imbalance of both power and profits.
But you may remember that Zuck cracked a tantrum and banned all news media in Australia from posting on his platforms.
As a result, a watered down bargaining code was agreed to, which has led to just a few secret deals with the big players in Australian media.
This has badly impacted the vital independent and often free news services of this industry — small and medium publishers, including Tropic Now.
We just need an even playing field to compete with the likes of the Cairns Post.
If you'd like to join us on this mission for fairness, email Treasurer Josh Frydenberg: [email protected].
