
A man is due in court charged over an armed robbery at a home in Mount Sheridan yesterday.
Police said the 49-year-old Woree man was one of several people who gained access to the home.
It’s alleged he threatened a woman with a knife before stealing a gun safe and firearms.

Cairns Criminal Investigation Branch detectives traced the man to a property at Woree, where it’s alleged a vehicle left the scene at speed and the man fled on a bicycle.
Police said they found a quantity of the dangerous drug methylamphetamine at the Woree property.
The 49-year-old man was later arrested and charged with armed robbery and possession of a dangerous drug.
Police later located a second man who is now assisting inquiries into the armed robbery.
