As spring sets in we've got a bevy of events happening around the far north this weekend. From Gran Fondo Festival to Cairns Amateurs Carnival, and all sorts in between, there's something for everyone to sink their teeth into.

Thursday 8 September

Today is Stress Less Day, a day dedicated to acknowledging the importance of mental health and wellness in your life. They are hosting a two-course lunch at the Pullman Cairns International, and bringing rugby league super coach Wayne Bennett and comedian and mental health advocate Mark McConville. The Cairns Amateurs Carnival kicks off with the sold out Fashion High Tea, and is followed by the Cocktail Party.

Family fun day - Act for Kids, Benevolent Society and Marlin Coast Community Centre are this year hosting the Child Protection Week Event. The event is free however it's best to register online.

The Port Douglas Gran Fondo Festival is on with all things cycling taking over. 

The races are on with the Amateurs in full swing and the sold out ‘The Greatest Showman’ Gala Ball. 

The legendary Hoodoo Gurus are playing at the Tanks this Friday and Saturday, supported by Kaweyova. Tickets can be purchased online.

25th Annual Australasian Menopause Society Congress is in town with a scientific program designed to inform while encouraging time for reflection.

It's the final day of the Cairns Amateurs Carnival, check out the full schedule online.
