Why was this site chosen for Rainforest Edge?
Mt Sheridan was a unique opportunity to develop a great site close to town. It had some relatively easy home sites to start with and had a good existing community in Forest Gardens and Mt Sheridan, with nice homes and demand to join the neighbourhood. The site is well serviced, close to schools, shops and Trinity Anglican School. It’s easy to get into the city but feels like it could be miles away. The natural buffers created by the creeks and rainforest on all sides of the estate make it feel private.
What types of homebuyers do you expect to be interested in Rainforest Edge?
Kenfrost is building a range of different style homes here and we’ve had buyers from all demographics. Most people looking at Rainforest Edge recently have been older households and the ones with mostly school-aged children. Kenfrost has built everything from 3-bedroom, 2 bath 1 car homes to 5 bed 2 bath plus media room and double garage.
What stage is Rainforest Edge at in terms of land release?
So far Kenfrost has completed 2 stages and 76 lots. We have built around 40 new homes including custom built homes for clients and a brand new David McCoy Display home open Wednesdays to Sundays 11am till 4pm. There are about another 59 lots to go before Rainforest Edge is complete. In the next stage, we will include a large adventure park off of Turanga Rise. This park backs onto a permanent creek and almost 20,000 ha of Wet Tropics National Park.
