This week brings forth a medley of events including the first ever Cairns Fashion Week, we have a few comedy legends in town, Cairns Museum launches a newly installed exhibition, and theres a few live tunes to be heard. Plus, the Laura Races are on, Caffiend continues their birthday celebrations, and Mossman hosts a Quilt and Craft Expo.

This week is all about live music. We kick things off with Thelma Plum and her sold out show. Next up is Dan Sultan, Paulini, and Sunday Lemonade, followed by Katie Noonan, Beddy Rays, and Busby Marou. Plus, we have NYX Festival, Shakespeare at the Tanks, Your Wardrobe, Ironman Cairns, and the COUCH Charity Fun Run. Get amongst!

We kick off the week strong with 10cc's national tour and the Tropical Innovation Festival, followed by The Grand Kyiv Ballet and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Wine Fiend returns for another instalment, along with the Festival of Spirits and the Festival of the Knob. To wrap up the week, we also have the Cairns Bat Festival.

From a mixed media workshop to a play about the assassination of President JFK, Banff Mountain Film Fest, a Craft Beer Fest, and an ode to Taylor Swift at The Jack, there's something for everyone. Step back in time this Pioneer Weekend at Herberton, enjoy a naughty laugh with comedian Frenchy, plus Daniel Champagne is in town. Don't miss out on the fun and entertainment this weekend!

There's a food photography and videography workshop sponsored by Sony, a pop-up fashion event, and plenty of comedic options with Julia Wilson at Dunwoody's and Jimmy Carr at CPAC. We have the Barrier Reef Congress bridge tournament and the North Queensland Underwater Hockey Titles in town. Plus, with all the anticipation of late, Caravãna Sun are finally in town.

There's an Arts & Culture Funding Info Session for artists, and Talking Pictures is exploring the history and power of the movie The Island of Dr. Moreau. Meanwhile, local independent artist LT is celebrating the release of their new single Act Your Age, and the Undara Outback Rock and Blues Festival promises hours of music over the weekend.
